Alright bird friends, lets talk about clipping wings.
I know everyone has their own opinion on the subject, and that fine. But can we stop judging and making assumptions on the decisions other make for the best of their birds?? Blue's wings were clipped when I bought her, I do not plan on always having them clipped. However one of the dogs in our house views her as a snack, and she is never out when he is around. But if I for example don't clip her wings and she decides to go exploring and flies into a room where that dog is (we have a gate keeping him out of where she is.) She would be in trouble.
And fact is, she will be around long after he is gone and can for sure be flighted then, if not sooner, we are actively working on training both her and the dog.
But for people to judge a decision I might or might not make, with only the safety of Blue in mind, does not sit right with me. If you can have your birds flighted all the time, great! If you get your birds clipped for safety, training or whatever else reason focusing on whats best for your bird, also great!
So feel free to discuss but keep judgement off of my page pls❤
